Dear Mr Shimano
Many thanks for providing the marvellous range
of 27 gears my bike normally has.
However I am in Devon and Cornwall so am
only using the straight up one and the straight
down one. Please could you send instructions
as to how I can junk the rest of the useless
shiny bits that are weighing down my bike
leaving me with just the 2 gears I actually need.
Yours
Squire Trelawney - Pemberthey.
Today we crossed from Devon to Cornwall so
are now officially in the last county in England,
will this do can we stop now?
Bit of a damp one today as the drizzle wanted
to stay and play all day.
We have started meeting other end to enders
again as the choice of routes narrows down
again, as most people do it the other way to
us the majority are just starting out and look
upon us as some sort of experts (little do they
know) When we last met people going the
other way it was in Scotland and they had just
about finished so wished us a cheery
“Good Luck” while we cursed and muttered
under our breath, now finally the boot is on the
other foot.
Little Prince Report
A mixed bag for the Little Prince today, he
started out well and when we meet other
cyclists he dispenses advice like a proper
cyclist, giving his little tips and tricks.
Later on he struggled for a few miles before
being sick at the side of the ride. Very bravely
he struggled on and seemed to start feeling
better, I think he may be bulimic (aren’t they the
ones who look in the mirror and see a fat
person) By the time we got to the B&B he was
feeling quite chipper and started on the
Weston’s Organic cider at 7% it may well
backfire on him today - we shall see.
