Day 15

Route: St Jidgey to St Just - 54 miles

How many bleedin’ saints are there or does Cornwall have its own religion with loads of extra ones

We started off today in the hope of getting within

striking distance but with the hills and a ridiculous

headwind the early progress was a bit stilted. We

bravely battled on as you would expect of your heroes.

Marks Mom and Dad passed us on the road and

must have worn the horn out on the car, honestly

you’d think they were Italian or something.

Had a quick bite to eat with them then onwards

towards Penzance.

We managed to get lost but think we actually found a

better route as we got to go past St Michaels Mount

and along the coast for a wee while.

Both of us were feeling fairly chipper so decided to

make the run to St Just where Carlys relatives live

rather than yet another B&B

Beers and Chinese at the seaside and only 4 miles

to go tomorrow - does life get any better?

Well it could I found out today I’ve lost my job so I

may turn around and do the whole thing again with

a following wind like sensible folk do.

Little Prince Update

The Little Prince does not like headwinds or hills, he

has taken to venting his frustration at them by

swearing at the top of his lungs when he comes

across either of them. Unfortunately he didn’t see

the little old lady pulling the shopping trolley who

nearly fell out of her tweed slippers when a Bristolian

Ginger on a bike screamed blue murder going past

her!
