Day 2

Route: Lybster to Tain - 65 Miles

No amount of training can prepare you for cycling uphill with a fully loaded bike, which is handy because that’s precisely the amount we’ve done.

Last night in the pub playing pool with drunken Scottish folk probably wont help us pedal today , Scots are hard enough to understand when sober the drunk ones should really come with subtitles.

Todays run was much nicer than

yesterdays as although we did have a

bit of a headwind for a fair bit of the

way at least the heavens remained

firmly shut.

Food Update

Big old breakfast at the B&B

Helmsdale for the lunch stop, nice

little café thing trying to be all modern

and trendy with there fancy dan coffee

machines, the waitress almost looked

crestfallen when I asked for tea.

Snacks at the co-op in Brora

Then a big old bbq at the campsite

which is just up the road from the

Glenmorangie distillery.

Little Prince Update

Prince Harry has only been recognised

by a couple of his subjects in a

pub, they all wanted to know if Wills

was with him. When he told them

no they seemed disappointed and

went away.

Other than that the Little Prince seems

to be managing the cycling ok with less

moans and less enforced pie stops

than yesterday.
