Day 4
Route: Glenmoriston to Glencoe - 53 Miles
A day thats gone from good to bad to very bad to worse and then finally to Champion
The road kill round here is amazing 3 deer today, shame on you car users (we are now committed eco cycle warriors until July 5th )
Great ride today , visited the Commando Memorial to say hello to my Grandad then off to Fort William to play in the traffic for the first time in a few days. We had tea and cake in the Railway Station and were very tempted by the train to Euston, but we are brave boys now so resisted and just caught the Glasgow one instead!!!
Day then took a downturn, it started raining
taking away the views and the headwind
came back with vengeance, then to
compound it all my pannier broke. The Little
Prince bravely offered to take the tent off me
for the three miles we had to go to Glencoe,
then proceeded to remind me why I don’t
make him carry it more often for the longest
three miles of my and probably his life.
Once at the B&B my watch strap broke and I
managed to get superglue all over my
trousers attempting to fix it.

Little Prince Watch
The little Prince has discovered how much
energy and effort you can save by tucking into
someone else’s slipstream, unfortunately
that person is me!! Fair play to him he kept
there all day and try as I might I couldn’t
shake him off. Now if we can get him to take
his turn at the head of the peloton we might
make a cyclist of him.
Saw our first Mcdonalds today, The Little Prince
got very excitable and had to be escorted away.
Finally a huge thank you to the staff of The
Carnoch for not only providing us with the
best meal so far but also making a donation
to Cancer research.
If you are ever in Glencoe it comes highly
recommended
